Hey there! I’m Chad Jensen.

I’m the face behind Jensen Copy, a freelance copywriter, beer aficionado, & travel enthusiast. I kick ass and chew bubble gum.

Guess what? I’m all out of bubble gum.

Copywriter Chad Jensen

If you’re still reading, I assume you want to know more about me (got nothin’ to hide, so here goes).

I was born in the Bay Area of California in 1985. For the first 10 years of my life, I was raised in an ethnically-diverse community, where my family and I were the predominant minority. The only time I wasn’t in the city was during the holidays when we would visit my grandparents in Central Oregon.

In 1996, we made a move from the Bay Area to the actual center of nowhere (in my view back then), Oregon: A place where the livestock greatly outnumbered the human population, and my ethnicity was no longer the minority – this was a huge culture shock for my sister and me.

But, I couldn’t be more thankful for that experience occurring at such a young age. Because of this, I’ve never held any prejudices or felt any fear of change. After high school, I had many different types of jobs in an attempt to figure myself out. I mean seriously, you name it and I probably did something nearly identical.

After spending a bit of time getting a majority of the “late-teenage, and early-twenties-idiocy” out of my system, I got a job with a company that traveled around the world. We remodeled cruise ships and other types of boats, which was my first actual taste of extensive travel (and beer consumption) – immediately, I was hooked.

It was at this point that I became an adventure addict, constantly searching for new flavors of life this planet has to offer.

Several years later, around the time of the Great Recession of ’08, I went through commercial dive school in Washington state and became a diver. I landed a job with a company that traveled across the continental US, performing underwater repairs and inspections of potable water tanks and towers of all types. Throughout the next few years, I worked in nearly all 48 states.

Since those days, I’ve been in sales and marketing, a CDL driver, a propane service technician, and a networking and installation technician at a major social media data center. Some may be reading this saying, “Jesus Christ, just choose something and stick with it, man!” But, I believe there’s a reason for everything, and the right thing WILL happen in the end.

If I hadn’t traveled so much, experienced so many different cultures, and really gotten to know those hundreds (if not thousands) of unique individuals, I would not have the perspective I do, which gives me the ability to write such broadly-relatable content.

Oh and also, did I mention I love beer? – Beer is good. We should drink beer together. If we get to know each other well enough, I might tell you a story or two that’ll never be posted on the interwebs.
